Directions from Durham railway station (1 km / ½ mile)
From the front of the station, turn left down hill and continue round right-hand bend for 20m. At the signs "Pedestrian route to City Centre / Tourist Info", turn left down a flight of about 50 steps. [If you reach a metal footbridge, you have gone too far down the hill!] Follow signs for City Centre. At roundabout, cross the road and follow signs for "City Centre / Gala Theatre". Follow the pedestrian barrier up the ramp; at the top, turn right and cross over the dual carriageway beneath. Immediately turn left down the other side of the ramp, passing a car park entrance on your right. At the roundabout, turn right and go towards the traffic lights by the Royal County hotel. Go straight ahead over the traffic lights, and after 50m turn right into St Andrew's Court. We will meet you outside the 'Brown Sugar' bar.

Directions from the A1(M) motorway
Exit at junction 62 and take the A690 signposted Durham City. At the first roundabout continue straight ahead on the A690; at the second roundabout turn left into New Elvet. At the traffic lights by the Royal County hotel go straight ahead, and after 50m turn right into St Andrew's Court. Wait on the ramp which leads down to the car park, where we will meet you.
