Stayed at the Oasis apartment for 11nights ( 3 adults ) and must compliment the owners for their attention to detail and taste in furnishing. There were nice touches, bottle of wine of your choice, flowers on the table and the following mornings breakfast provisions in the fridge. Set in the heart of Durham City with sightseeing, shopping, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Parking is no problem as there is a secure underground bay reserved for your entire stay. We did have some noise on the weekend nights but nothing to give us great concern. Although the apartment was small it was as they say 'perfectly formed ' Galley style kitchen with all white goods, dining area, living area with plenty of seating, tv, dvd's, books and even a small chest containing family games. Two bathrooms, one with jacuzzi bath , both had heated towel rails. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone thinking of a holiday in Durham City. This TripAdvisor Member: Liked ? This apartment was perfectly located for exploring Durham City. The standard of accomodation was very high, with a well stocked kitchen, beautiful bathroom and spacious comfortable living area. - Hayley Ackers, Connecticut USA, February 2008

Superb! Luxury accomodation, home from home. A warm welcome from the owner & welcoming nibbles, wine & first mornings breakfast provided, very thoughtful. Fantastic location too. Would highly recommend. - The Garners & The Bebbingtons, Lancashire, April 2008

A very impressive apartment with some nice touches included and a great location. Try Bistro Italiano (as recommended by Ray) as it is very good. - Guy Pulham, Northants, May 2008

Superb apartment - very welcoming owner. Lots of little extra touches make this an outstanding place to stay! Thank you. - Wendy Henderson, Kent, May 2008

A great place to stay for a long weekend in central Durham. The apartment is full of beautiful designer things to look at and play with, and the owners provide all those extra special touches you wish for when you stay away from home. - Jen & Nick, Reading, UK, June 2008

A lovely place to stay. Superb apartment with all kinds of extras. Very comfortable bed, great bathroom and many little thoughtful items to make for a very comfortable break. - Joyce Halesworth, June 2008

Apparently, there are two apartments on offer - both in the same block - Moonlight & Oasis. We stayed at Oasis. We stayed 16th July , 3 nights - Me, Wife and grown up Daughter . Double and single bedrooms. Daughter said that the single bed was too soft - otherwise everything was excellent. Whoever decorated that apartment had some flair - its really good. Brilliant location, guaranteed parking, TVs everywhere, full kitchen, internet, bathrooms to die for and, such service - with first breakfast and dinner in the fridge! Excellent quality and value. If you want to stay at Durham, stay here. - Mr Butterworth, July 2008

We visited Durham to see our daughter compete in the rowing regatta Luxury quality of apartment particularly bedrooms/bathrooms, price compared with hotels and welcome by the owner all outstanding. Central location in Durham just what we wanted. The apartment enhanced the weekend in Durham. Recommend. - Phil T, Belfast, July 2008

Stayed at the Moonlight for three nights in June. It's situated about 10 minutes walk from the station and only a few minutes from the main bars and restaurants within Durham City Centre. The only note of caution I would say is that the surrounding area is very lively and heavily populated with students so it remained very noisy into the early hours of the morning, not that this spoilt our stay at all! The apartment itself was lovely and it is obvious that a great deal of care and attention has gone into furnishing it. The service and assistance we received from the owner was first class. The only thing I would say was that it was a little smaller than it appeared on the website, however, there was still plenty of room for the three of us. There were a number of nice touches such as croissants etc in the fridge for breakfast and a free bottle of wine on arrival. I would certainly recommend the Moonlight Apartment to a couple looking for a weekend away or a group of mates like us looking for a weekend away eating and drinking. - Canary1, Hertfordshire, July 2008 (Please note: above refers to Moonlight Apartment, which is overlooking the street: Oasis is set back and therefore quieter!)
